NEW YORK, January 29, 2002 - Droplet, Inc. ("Droplets") announced today the expansion of its business development and client service organization into the Asia Pacific region with the opening of regional headquarters in Seoul, Korea. Droplets Asia Pacific will be lead by Don Park, sales and marketing vice president. Park brings an extensive IT consulting and sales background, and recently served as director of sales for Hewlett-Packard Korea.
Droplets is leading an emerging software category referred to as "Rich User Interfaces" (Java Developer's Journal), or "X Internet" (Forrester Research), and enables a far more compelling end-user experience than Web page applications, while providing a lower total cost of ownership by significantly reducing network bandwidth usage.
Droplets Asia Pacific customer Hanssem Co., Ltd., one of the largest interior and furniture manufacturers in the world, is creating a unique Web Service using the Droplets platform and development tools. The Hanssem e-Shop will be launched in the second quarter of 2002."
